Volkswagen Unveils new Cars | Volkswagen Launches New Model Cars
Volkswagen’s new vehicles include a multi-van in the T5 series. Starting this October, four versions with 84-180 h.p. engines will be offered for sale. The fuel-efficient T5 burns less than eight liters of gasoline per every 100 km, features an aerodynamic rear-view mirror and state-of-the-art control and navigation systems with a large touch screen.
Corporate designers have unveiled the family-sized Seat Ibiza Concept IBZ on the threshold of the 25th anniversary of Seat Ibiza, one of the most successful Volkswagen car makes. The new vehicle, which is 17 cm longer than the production version, will appeal to the younger generation and sports car buffs. Concept IBZ has a panoramic roof, which will be retained in production versions.
A 1931 custom-made Bugatti car, built by Italian automobile designer and manufacturer Ettore Bugatti (1881-1947) for himself and subsequently manufactured for VIP clients, also matches new car industry trends. The 1,000-h.p. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Sang Bleu roadster embodies a sports car buff’s dream of a high speed vehicle. Bugatti-Bentley CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen says 40 cars, including the one on show, have been assembled and sold to date. Each custom-made car matches all client requirements. According to Paefgen, the company is not concerned about the future of luxury cars because sales volumes speak for themselves. He said there will always be extraordinary people who need extraordinary cars. Photo: A new Bugatti.

Volkswagen also offers an E-UP (pronounced Yap) zero-emission electric vehicle and the Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro, an Audi fans’ delight. The first production E-UP vehicles will probably roll off the assembly line in 2013. Professor Martin Winterkorn, CEO of Audi luxury car maker and Scania AB manufacturing heavy-duty trucks, buses and diesel engines, hopes electric cars will account for 1.5% of the global car market by 2020.
Audi, which is also marking its 100th anniversary this year, has unveiled the Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro, a top premium class car. Its advertising slogan implies that the car is classy in every way. Photo: An Audi car of the future.
